The stars were out Saturday, February 18, 2012 when DMC’s were recognized by their peers.

ACCENT on Arrangements, Inc.  received an Achievement Award from the Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI) at its Annual Conference recently held in Memphis, Tennessee. ADMEI, represents 205 North American member Destination Management companies, and presented 10 achievement awards at the conference.

ACCENT on Arrangements, Inc, a DMC Network Company was awarded the Women’s Business Enterprise Supplier of the Year at the Annual WBEC South Women’s Business Opportunity Expo Luncheon this April. This award recognizes a Women’s Business Enterprise that has demonstrated consistent quality, competitiveness and reliability. The criteria to be the WBE Supplier of the Year included being a company that has superb customer service and proactive initiatives to address customer needs as well as good business skills – growth, financial stability, innovation and management.  Doing business with other WBE’s and contributing to the mentoring and growth of other WBE’s was also a key element in the decision making process. ACCENT demonstrated all of these qualities in their award submission.

In her 30-year career as a special event professional, Lyons has earned her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP) designations, and has led one of the most respected destination management companies in the New Orleans area. Diane is a “giver” as she freely gives her time and lessons learned in business to help her WBE supplier partners. Lyons works with other WBEs and encourages them by guiding them when it comes to work/life balance and networking. ACCENT on Arrangements has been a certified Women’s Business Enterprise since 2007.
